How to import public holidays in Calendar app without changing region settings

Let's say I work in Japan and want to see the public holidays of Japan in my Calendar app. How can this be achieved without changing the region to Japan in "System Preferences > Language & Region", since this also changes many other behaviours?

Show or hide the Holidays calendar on Mac


View the Holidays calendar for a different region


You can change your computer’s settings to show holidays for a different country or region.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Language & Region , then choose your region.
  2. In the Calendar app  on your Mac, choose Calendar > Preferences, then click General.
  3. Deselect “Show Holidays calendar,” then select it again.
