Pinned iMessage

Hey! Just curious if anyone knows why or what it means when one photo of my pinned messages is dimmed ? As you can see the 2 on the right are bright and full of colour and the 1 on the left is dull and faded. The original picture is bright and has been the same previously but recently the 2 icons on the left go faded sometimes?

Trash icon grays out in iMessages when selecting messages in certain scenarios i am trying to delete historical messages within a single conversation by using 2 fingers. The trash icon grays out in the following situations: when the messages span over multiple days. It may just be a UI bug.
