Why cant you cut and paste an image from the web and drop it into messages from my Mac? Seems like the only way to share an image is ftom the Photos library app, but not your saved "pictures" or cut and paste from the web? This is really annoying!!

I can. In Safari right click on the image and choose 'Copy Image'. Switch to Messages and paste into the dialogue window.

And, of course I can add any images from anywhere to a message, not only those in the Photos library. Not sure how you're going about these things, and where it fails. Perhaps if you provide step-by-step descriptions of your actions we can track down the issues for you.

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

I am using Ventura and Google Chrome.

I cannot right click, cut and paste pics into messages from Chrome. They will not send.

I can not right click pics from my Pictures on my hard drive either, they will not send.

I have to add the pics to my Photos library and send to messages from there. Or in Mac messages, click on the photo in the tiny window but on my 27" monitor the window is tiny and hard to see the pics.
