Read-only setting
I have a document which I prepared on my ipad. I would like to make some changes. Apparently it is set on read-only. How do I change from read-only to edit?
iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

If you use the Word app on the iPhone, to be able to create/edit a document, you need to have an Office 365 account and be signed into that account with the Word app. If you do not have a Microsoft account, you will not be able to edit the document.
When you open this read-only document on your iPhone, press the "Edit" button in the upper right.
What app were you using when you created this document on your iPad? If you created this document from scratch, the ability to edit the document would be controlled by the app in relation to how you saved the document.
I prepared the document in Word.

FYI, that never occurred to me.
When you said the document was prepared on your iPad, I assumed Pages was the application.
