Hi xaeralte94_8

Re: "Is "Kerberos" a function that should be activated or not, i.e. turned on or off?"

Seems Kerberos is an "authentication protocol that is used to verify the identity of a user or host".

Does that help you know whether or not to activate it in the situation in which it is presented to you ?

Microsoft have more info, online about Kerberos.

or for a simpler explanation of how kerberos works:

Thank you brbo

I am paying for F-security VPN with F-secure.com

Does this imply, that I shall activate ( turn on), or deactivate (turn off) Kerbersos?

Kind regards

There is no need to install a VPN unless you are creating a secure point-to-point tunnel between your device and an office private network. If you need such a point-to-point secure tunnel, talk to the VPN Admin at the company who's network you are accessing.

Thank you for your reply, xaeralte94_8, and the info about VPN.

Re: Turn on or turn off Kerberos authentication protocol.

Seems this is not a matter that can be decided for you by anyone else.

We don't know how important to you verifying your identity is, in this situation.

and

precisely who or what company wants the identification

and

exactly what will be done with your identification info., your privacy etc.

We are all Apple users, like yourself, in this community ... these are (non-Apple) aspects to research.

Seems Bob the Fisherman's advice to:

"talk to the VPN Admin at the company who's network you are accessing" may help you decide.
