Hey there arthurfromottawa,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, if you remove the AirTag from your device and set it back up, does the location still show as incorrect? If unsure, give that a try with the steps below:
Remove an AirTag or other item from Find My on iPhone - Apple Support
1. Tap Items at the bottom of the screen, then tap the item you want to remove.
2. Bring the item near your iPhone.
3. If the item is not near your device, you can still remove it from your account. However, the item must be reset before anyone can register it to their Apple ID.
4. Tap Remove Item, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Set up your AirTag using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
1. Make sure that your device is ready for setup.
2. If your AirTag is new, remove the wrap around the product and pull out the tab to activate the battery. Your AirTag will play a sound.
3. Hold your AirTag near your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then tap Connect.* If you have multiple AirTags and see "More than one AirTag detected", make sure that only one AirTag is near your device at one time. Need help connecting your AirTag?
4. Select an item name from the list, or select Custom Name to name your AirTag and choose an emoji. Then tap Continue.
5. To register your AirTag with your Apple ID, tap Continue again.
6. Tap Done.
Now you can attach your AirTag to your item and see it in the Find My app.
If the issue persists after setting up the AirTag again, try toggling Find My iPhone and Find My network off and back on in Settings > [Your Name] > Find My, as well as Location Services in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Keep us updated on the results, and we'll continue from there.
Have a great day!
