Macro videos limited to 4k 30fps

Hi guys so I’ve never owned a iPhone that has a dedicated macro lens before. My new 14 pro is the first. But for some reason when recording videos in 4k 60fps it doesn’t switch to the macro lens no matter what…

4k 30fps and all other resolutions below switches to the macro lens, only 4k 60fps is affected. Idk if this a iOS 16 issue or what because Apple stated all lens can record up to 4k 60fps. I’m running iOS 16.1.1

Hello bradlee146,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

We understand the situation with your iPhone 14 Pro and how you are unable to use the Macro camera mode when 4k 60fps is enabled.

As it turns out, the iPhone user guide does not specifically state which resolutions and frame rates are supported in macro mode.

If you would like to see more information offered for this camera feature, we would ask that you submit feedback to Apple using the following link: Product Feedback

You can also find helpful information about using your iPhone camera in the following Apple Support articles:

You can also contact Apple Support directly if you would like more support.

We hope that this information helps you.

Cheers!
