I have never heard iPhones reaching Voicemail after 3 rings. Is this your Carrier settings? Can you please explain this a bit more if my interpretation is worng.

There are many conditions under which it will go to voicemail.

Calls will go to Voicemail...

  1. If you don't answer because...
    1. You don't want to
    2. The device volume is set to Zero
    3. Ringer Switch Turned Off
  2. Call Forwarding/Waiting is enabled through your Carrier
  3. If you disconnect before answering the call
  4. If you have enabled DND/Bedtime
  5. If you have blocked a phone number
  6. Please check Call Audio Routing; Call Audio Routing Bluetooth / Speaker / Automatic

Thank you Ingo2711, I will have to try that.

Thank you SravanKrA for the information. None of the points you listed apply to me, my phone just started only ringing 3 times recently. I had set it some time back to ring for longer but it seems Telstra has changed it. I will find out if they still have storefronts anywhere and ask them to change it back. I am wishing myself good luck with that one ….!
