Audio sync with Bluetooth speaker

Hi,

my Apple TV is connected to two nest audio speakers and I'm getting a slight delay between the video and audio playback.

While going through the wireless syncing process in the Apple TV settings, the sound is coming out of the tv speakers and not the Bluetooth speakers.

I tried connecting the speaker to the tv itself and run the syncing process again, but then iPhone isn't able to pickup the sound generated in the process.

Any idea what can I do to make it work?
