AirPods linked to Multiple accounts - how can I remove them? I have a pair of AirPod pros that belonged to my step-daughter. She upgraded and I am now trying to sell them. Problem is it keeps telling me that they are linked to other accounts. It seems that not only did she use them but many friends / colleagues linked them to their accounts too!!!!! Our family have removed them from our “iCloud”(?) but still saying linked to another account and she has no idea who. This means that not only does it say they are linked to other users and they can track the AirPods, but I cannot sell them as intended. Is there any way to remove the AirPods from all of these accounts as we have no idea who they are still linked to. thanks

I think one must be actually connected to AirPods in order to rename them.

You might try on your iPhone, while logged into your AppleID, goto settings and select Bluetooth, look for AirPods and try renaming there.

If that doesn’t work try renaming in “your trusted” devices if you don’t have the AirPods.
