I am not able to edit my Home Screen without it changing my Lock Screen to the same image.

Why can’t I edit them separately with the new update?

AHA! THAT was the key: "Note that you have to change the wallpaper from the image used in a previous version of iOS, as it won’t have the “hooks” to allow customization."


I didn't see that anywhere in the article. Much appreciated.

The answer is in the Related Article at the top of the page, repeated here→Change the wallpaper on your iPhone. Note that you have to change the wallpaper from the image used in a previous version of iOS, as it won’t have the “hooks” to allow customization. If you still have the image you can reuse it when creating the new wallpaper.
