cannot backup locked files, time machine stops, how can i find locked files

when using time machine for backup, after some hours time machine stops & gives an error (locked file found)

how can i get around this or locate locked file to rectify the problem

right now time machine is totally useless & i have to live with no backup at all on my monterey system (12.6.1)

thanks for the reply, i bought a new 4TB harddrive (WD elements series) formatted it to APFS and successfully backed up 780gig in 2hours, there seems to be a compatibility problem between the older intel 64bit systems with HFS+ and the silicone M1/M2 series with APFS formatting
