iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island question
I'm considering getting the 14 Pro, but have some reservations regarding the Dynamic Island. Specifically, I'm most concerned about it being too distracting in terms of receiving too many updates from apps with background activity while wanting to focus. From what I've seen, at this point there's no way to outright disable the DI animations. I have seen though that one can "swipe away" stuff that's happening on it.
So, for example, if I'm reading something on Books and then:
- I open up Spotify, hit play on a song and an activity opens on the DI. If swipe it away, the song keeps playing but the DI is now back to its minimal form? As far as Spotify goes, does the DI just stay this way and allow me to read my book without distractions? Does the Spotify animation come back with the next song?
- I open up Uber, order a ride on it and an activity opens on the DI. Afaict, any update to ride order status would show on the DI activity. If I swipe it away and go back to my book, will I have to swipe away the next ride order status, the next one after that etc, or am I swiping away the entire series of updates for that particular ride?
