I lost all the apps in my Home Screen

I was just wondering how to get them back I just updated my phone the day before. When I went to sleep and woke up everything was gone I know I can go in my library and physically put everything back but I don’t want to. Also I looked it up online and read something sayin the whole Home Screen is hidden but when I followed their instructions nothing popped up.(sorry for my bad spelling and grammar I just woke up and I’m back at writing so it’s even worse)
