Feature Request/Bug Fix: Please work towards not forcing users to logout of their signed in apps over time or after updates. This is a terrible user experience.
It would not be so bad if the apple password manager would actually work for all apps, but it doesn't. The latest iphone 14 pro feels like a downgrade and to top things off, the latest ios has only made my experience worse.

Password requirements for 3rd party apps are controlled by the provider of the app; Apple has no control over how they implement login to the app. Are you in the habit of force-closing apps after exit from an app to the Home screen? That can cause requiring a new login, because the signed in status in an app is stored in volatile RAM, not in the apps storage.
Similarly, the Keychain password manager requires the app developer to support it by defining the username and password fields as such. If they just use text fields the password manager won’t know where to put the login settings.

A user experience that Apple has ZERO control over.
And do you force close apps? If you do then YOU have control over it. I don’t force close apps, and, except for banking and financial apps, they never force me to log in. And even the banking apps accept my Face ID and don’t require a password.
Then contact the developers of the apps you are using, because they are the only ones who can change it. Apple can provide guidelines for developers, but they can’t force developers to follow those guidelines.

While it may be accurate, this response is not helpful. The perception I have is that the frequency of occurrence is much much higher that an app I need to use will require to log back in. Your explanation does nothing to acknowledge the general comment and feedback I have, and further supports an undesirable user experience.
No I do not force close apps.
This is a relatively new behavior I have noticed, others I have spoken with have also mentioned a similar feeling that they are required to log in more often on most of their apps.
Apple defines the experience for their products. While I understand your sentiment, I don’t agree with your position.
I have 290 apps. None of them so far have made me log in any more than they did in the past.
I am envious of you then good sir. Unfortunately, your experience does not change the experience and observations I was reporting.
