My iPhone freezes when I add, edit or delete a contact in Contacts. Usually it freezes for a few seconds (the "spinner" shows), and then starts working again. But often I have to reboot.
I have had this issue on my previous iPhone 7 as well. And when I migrated to iPhone 13 Pro the problem followed.

Solved - I checked under Privacy which apps used Contacts. Then I deleted one app at a time, rebooted my phone, and then tried adding a contact in the Contacts app.
After I deleted one certain app I could add contacts and my iPhone didn't freeze any more. In my case it was the Weekcal app that caused the problem. But it may depend on several parameters, so I do not want to point out this specific app. More testing needed.
Anyway, I can now add, edit and delete contacts in the Contacts app without having to reboot my iPhone each time, so I'm happy. After having experienced this issue for almost a year :)
