connecting to family subscription from individual

apple music is suppose to automatically cancel my individual plan when a family plan is purchased. it still shows i have an individual plan but on the organizers device it shows i have access to the subscription. Why isn’t mine updating and showing i’m on the family plan and how do i know i won’t get charged for my individual plan in the future?

Hi lulubug7,

Try signing out of your Apple Music account, followed by signing back in to see if it reflects that you're on a family plan.

If you're using an iPhone, you can sign out by navigating to Settings > [your account] > iTunes & App Store > Tap your ID > Sign Out.

Then follow the same steps to sign back in.

If the original problem persists after trying the previous steps, please provide us with specifics on what you see for more help, and we will continue from there.

Lastly, if you find that you're charged for your individual plan while you're a part of a family plan, you can follow the steps in the link below to request a refund.
