Group Chat Won’t Show Up on My End

My friends added me to two group chats today, one with 3 people not counting me and the other with 5 people (still not counting me) but only the group with 3 people showed up on my end I checked the list of the people in the group chat with 5 people on my friends phone and I was there, both group chats were made the same day and time, but the group chat with 5 people did not appear on my phone. I have no idea why, I looked it up and sometimes certain carriers don’t support a group chat feature, but I was added to one the same day no issue it just appeared on my messages app, but the group with 5 which shows that I’m in it won’t appear. Why?

Hi Fran_195,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with receiving a second group text. We'd like to help.

Have you noticed any differences between the two messages? For example, is one consisting of all iPhone/iMessage users and the other has iPhone/Android users and is using SMS or MMS messaging? We ask because messages can react differently depending on the members in the group.

Are you able to create a group with those same people and send a message successfully from your device? These steps can help:

Send a group text message
1. Open Messages and tap the Compose button .
2. Enter the names or tap the Add button add contact to add people from your contacts.
3. Type your message, then tap the Send button send icon.

To send a group MMS message on an iPhone, make sure MMS Messaging is turned on. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don’t see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging, contact your carrier to see if your plan supports Group MMS Messaging

Let us know if that helps!

Take care!
