To hand off a FaceTime call, your devices need macOS Ventura, iOS 16, or iPadOS 16 or later.
The problem is that I never get as far as to use these features. I activate Bluetooth on both the iPhone and the iMac and they are visible in the Bluetooth window. Then when I try to connect:
I'm using MacOs Ventura and iOs 16, so old software should not cause the problem, which has shown first after the update to macOS Monterey - the connection worked ok with macOS Big Sur and the same devices (iMac 2021, M1 chip and iPhone SE 2020 2nd gen.)
