MP4 videos will not play in iTunes and on IPad

I'm on latest iTunes and iPad Air software. I've imported in a mp4 video to iTunes using same process as I always have (File -> Import File) but the video does not have a preview in the album artwork. I'm also unable to launch the video from iTunes and it will not transfer to my iPad so I can watch it thru AppleTV like the rest of the videos I have uploaded in the past.

Or is there a way to transfer a video to watch it on the iPad from the "Files" app? I had no success there either.

Anyone else have this same problem?

Do other videos still work?

Make sure you are using the steps here to import and play the video: Play movies on Apple TV from iTunes on PC - Apple Support

If you have followed the steps correctly and you still have the issue, let us know if you get any specific alerts or error messages when trying, as those may help us determine what might be causing the issue.

If other videos work with this process, that one particular file could be corrupt or even Digital Rights Management applied.
