rsa-concierge-gatewayext.apple.com driving my usage time to 24/7

Hello! I've had an issue with my MacBook. Ever since I first contacted Apple Support regarding another matter, I've found out that my MacBook usage time has gone all the way to 24 hours a day. This happens every day without exceptions for a few weeks now. The time is counted even when the laptop is in sleep mode. I'm attaching the screenshot as proof. I still believe that this happened after contacting Apple Support. It appears that some kind of application is running in the background while you speak with them. But looks like it simply didn't turn off afterward.

The full name of that application is "rsa-concierge-gatewayext.apple.com".

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and reboot normally and test to see if the problem persists or not. .

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Also, if you leave the MacBook on all the time it's good to reboot 2=3 times per week (I shut down every night) as that clearly out system and application temporary cache and swap files. That helps keep the Mac clean and lean.

Additionally, have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?
