I'm trying to import photos from my iPhone. I have it connected by USB but can't find a way to move the photos across. Because my ISP signal is poor here, iCloud isn't working. I also have Wifi and Bluetooth enabled but these aren't working. It used to be much easier to do this with Monterey but I also had a landline then. Now I'm using my iPhone as a tether. Will I have to go home to use my fibre wifi? Thanks for looking.

Connect the phone via USB cable and use Apple's included Image Capture application. You can then select the images you want to copy, move, or remove from the phone, and Image Capture will use the EXIF DateTimeOriginal for the creation/modification date of the image on the Mac. If you don't use Image Capture, the timestamp on the images after copy to the Mac will be the current System timestamp.

Did you open the Photos.app....(?)
Select your connected iPhone
Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod ...
