Face ID setup notifications

I don't want Face ID active on my phone. How do I stop these constant notifications to setup Face ID without setting up Face ID?

Ridiculous to say we have to initiate facial ID and then turn it off to get rid of this irritating notification on iPhone. Especially since we don't want to use facial ID in the first place! Please fix this oversight or coercion or bug - whatever it is.

Hi NVRosie777,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you'd like to disable to notifications to set up Face ID.

Although the iOS doesn't include a feature which would allow you to disable the notifications, you could temporarily set up Face ID then turn it off if you don't wish to use it. You can learn how to enable and disable Face ID here: Set up Face ID on iPhone - Apple Support

Turn off Face ID
1. Go to Settings  > Face ID & Passcode.
2. Do one of the following:
• Turn off Face ID for specific items only: Turn off one or more of the options.
• Turn off Face ID for face masks: Turn off Face ID with a Mask.
• Turn off Face ID: Tap Reset Face ID.

Kind regards.
