Notes Disappeared
My 100+ notes suddenly disappeared. When I opened the Notes App it just looked like this:
I checked on iCloud everything was there like photos, etc., except for notes - there was nothing, as in zero - which is really devastating because I thought iCloud is a good backup. I think email would have been a better backup but didn’t link one as I was more confident with iCloud.
Tried almost all the work-around I saw over the internet like toggle on off the Notes App on iCloud settings, check Recently Deleted folder and just restore (which would have been easy if only the Recently Deleted folder did not disappear too, as seen on the screenshot).
Two Apple support tried to help me but no solution succeeded. I also did a phone reset but to no avail. I really need those notes because that’s what I use to make a living.
One of the work-around was to update my iPhone. Tried but iOS 15.7.1 kept failing. I have 14GB available storage, no vpn, tried on cellular data + 3 separate WiFis. It failed. Tried to update using pc - it still failed. Also tried to delete the previous update that may have not been installed properly but can’t - the delete button is unclickable somehow.
