After installing software update 15.7.1 the gyroscope and accelerometer on my iphone 6s no longer work. Any suggestions? I've verified that auto rotate is turned on on the control panel and restarted the phone twice - no change.

Does this seem to only happen when you have certain apps open on your iPhone? Please note that not all apps will support screen rotation. For instance, are you able to rotate the Apple Camera app as expected?
A helpful feature to check would be rotating the display using AssistiveTouch. Follow these steps to enable AssistiveTouch:
You should now have a floating menu on your iPhone screen. From this menu, select Device > Rotate Screen. Does this allow your screen to rotate in supported apps?
If Assistive Touch works as expected when rotating, we would suggest contacting Apple Support directly as service may be needed for your iPhone.
