Using Apple TV with a projector

I have the Apple TV connected to the projector. The Only issue is the surround sound system we are using is not Bluetooth compatible to cast the sound, but does have an optical input. Is there a transmitter that connects to the Apple TV and would transmit Dolby Digital 5.1 into the receiver?

I found an orbit Bluetooth device on Amazon that says it receives 5.1 audio but it will not connect to the Apple TV for some reason.

Bluetooth audio is stereo, so that wouldn’t be ideal for a surround sound system. For surround sound, you will want a wired connection. If the projector isn’t capable of doing audio passthrough with optical-out, then you may want to look into getting an HDMI Audio Extractor, which would have an optical-out option.
