Troubleshooting Mac Volume:

Four Thoughts:

Try the following in the Order Provided:

A. Try Reseting the Core Audio:

Typing the following command in Terminal:

sudo killall coreaudiod

B. Reset the SMC and NVRAM:

Sometimes operations are performed and then the keyboard settings become manipulated, technically. So... Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM. Then reboot with this keyboard plugged in once more.

C. Clear your Temporary Internet Files:

You mention that YouTube is having this issue as well. So, try clearing Cookies and Cache in SafariCookies perform remembrance of site-entered data, whereas Cachekeeps a snapshot of the last time your visited a site. So, clear them.

D. Scan with MalwareBytes for Mac:

This is software that searches for malware/adware. So, scan with it and then remove what is found. Once removed, uninstall MalwareBytes for Mac, if desired. It is created by long time users of these forums, making it the only trustworthy Security Software for a Mac. All other Security Software just gets in the way on a Mac, and volume settings may have been overridden somehow by it. So, uninstall Security Software on your Mac, using the uninstaller for it (found on the developer's site).

Malwarebytes for Mac Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes uninstaller
