Phone is black but still working and rings etc
My phone is fully charged but the screen is black. It’s working because alarm goes off and it rings when contacted iPhone 12

try to do a force restart.
- press volume up button once and let go
- press volume down button once and let go
- press and hold the side/power button until you see apple logo (this might take a while)
if issue still persists, try plugging it into a laptop. if your laptop prompts anything (example "trust this device?") but screen still blank, most probably a hardware issue and requires service, you have to change the display
