Sound Volume Icon Keeps Popping Up. I have done everything they have suggested (updating OS, etc,) but the issue still persists

If no software solutions have yet worked for this behavior, hardware may be responsible. How to clean the keyboard of your MacBook or MacBook Pro offers a process to clean a keyboard that may help if the volume keys are causing this behavior. You can also try How to use safe mode on your Mac and the subsequent steps based on results to isolate or rule out further software causes. Trying with another keyboard if possible can be used to determine if that is a responsible component as well.
