Someone used my email for Apple ID

Hello,

Someone used my email (I know it’s mine because I checked as Gmail community said and everything checks out) to try and set up as Apple ID. I know because I keep getting notification emails asking to confirm email address. And the weird thing is that it is notification email for my Apple ID. How do I stop it and delete this Apple ID? Because I fear that I accidentally confirm it as Apple ID and I don’t want some random person using my email as their Apple ID.

Calling Apple support is not an option for me because it would be an international call would cost a lot of money. I don’t know what to do.

Hello CrimsonLight,

We want to make sure you reach the right team for help with your device, so we recommend that you contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support. This is definitely something you will need to speak with the support team to resolve.

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities and have a wonderful day.

I have written an email on support page more than one week ago and as I stated calling is not an option for me. I don’t know what else to do and where else to write.

On all similar cases there is recommendation to contact support but this link is leading me in circles to this forum so I don’t know what else to do. How do I directly contact them? Do you have email address or some thing more tangible than link that leads to the same forum we are on?
