Can't complete purchase

ok my question is i created a new apple id like 15 mins ago i made a new one and i redeemed a giftcard i tried purchasing something and then it asked for a pass. i put my pass then it this message came up and said your purchase could not be completed for assistance contact itunes support at www.apple.com/support/itunes
