New iMac & CD/DVD drives?

Why won't my new iMac work with my Apple CD/DVD drive?

iMac 24″, macOS 13.0

Assuming you mean a SuperDrive, you need to plug it directly into a port using one of these adapters. No Hubs.

Have you tried a USB-C to USB adapter.

Some third party USB-C to USB adapters will also work.

For example I have and use several of the following Philips adapter with my 2018 and M1 Mac mini's.
