Terminal: how to remove stubborn kexts?

Inside my Macintosh HD/Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions, I found four kexts related to old, outdated software (EyeTV) that I will never use again:

EyeTVAfaTechHidBlock.kext

EyeTVCinergy450AudioBlock.kext

EyeTVCinergyXSAudioBlock.kext

EyeTVEmpiaAudioBlock.kext

EyeTVVoyagerAudioBlock.kext

But I can't seem to remove them. They can't be dragged to the trash. I tried going into Terminal and using "rm -f" and "rm -d" but none of them work. "Operation not permitted."

I can't run an uninstaller; this software is so old it's not even offered anymore.

How do I get rid of these kexts?

Are they listed in /Library/Extensions? If not, open Terminal and issue this command:

sudo kextcache -prune-staging
