Hi Nana,

After you have downloaded the border image to your Mac, Open a new Pages document using one of the Blank templates.

If all of the documents you expect to use this on will be single page items, use the Blank Page Layout template.

If you expect to use the border on one or more pages of multi page documents, use the Blank Word Processing template.

PL template:

With the new Blank document open, Insert the border image using the Insert menu, then select the image and drag the handles at the corners of the image to enlarge the border to fit the page. When you have it properly sized, and centred on the sheet, use the Lock menu item in the Arrange menu to lock the border in that location.

Return to the insert menu and choose Text to place a text box in front of the border image. Adjust the size of the text box in the same manner as you did the border image. You can choose to lock the text box at this time to keep it from being accidentally moved, but you will need to Unlock it when adding text to it.

If you plan to use this document as the platform for several Christmas documents, You should now Save it as a Template, using the Save as Template menu item near the bottom of the File menu.

The template will be saved in the "My templates" section of the list in the Templates Chooser.

Using the template will be much the same as using other templates:

Open the Template chooser, scroll to the bottom, locate and double click the template image, then add the text (and any photos), placing all in the Text box you placed on the template.

Regards,

Barry
