Difference of developer mode setting on each iPhone model?

Before testing from the Firebase App Distribution

  • 12 pro (iOS 16.1.1) has to be set to developer mode
  • 12 pro (iOS 15) doesn't have to set developer mode
  • 12 (iOS 16.1.1) doesn't have to set developer mode

I am new to testing so not sure if my question is relatable.

Thank you.

Developer Mode arrived with iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. It can be turned on and off by the user.

Details: Apple Developer Documentation

Prior to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, connecting Xcode to the device for on-device testing was sufficient; there was no second setting and no display on the device when developer mode was enabled.

Firebase is a third-party platform, and you’ll need to discuss issues and questions with the server and with the Firebase client SDK with the folks supporting that.
