Disable volume on lock

I put my phone during my runs in my fanny pack and or pocket. I can count at least 10 times now, once I lock my screen, somehow the volume gets bumped and turns up to max volume on my ear buds. This is damaging my ears! How do I disable the volume and playback controls once locked?

Lock volume control buttons iPhone 12 I am looking how to lock the volume control buttons on my iPhone 12 because when I’m listening to music and my phone is in my pocket the volume goes all the way up to the max or goes all the way down to silent constantly and it is very annoying. Please that has to be a way to lock the volume control to stop this happening. My old iPod could lock the volume so it Did not accidentally go up or down in my pocket and that was 20 years ago.

Volume adjustment on lock screen no longer available Why did apple remove the ability to adjust volume on the lock screen while playing music? This is so much more convenient than using the side buttons. The screen feature allowed me to adjust volume without having to pick up my phone. Sure, I can swipe up, find the music app, and adjust it on the screen without picking up the phone. Really?

Try turning off Raise to Wake.

Settings>Display & Brightness>Raise to Wake.
