Safari not responding

I've tried to open it many times today, and it just bounces and then in Force Quit, says not responding. It worked yesterday! I've rebooted, but that doesn't help. I work on the net and can't work without safari. My iMac is running Ventura 13.0.1

Any advice?

Thanks,

Susan

I'm no expert in this area, yet your post surely deserves a prompt response.

Fortunately, Apple Support have articles online that may be helpful.

Wondering if you have plenty of memory ./ storage available

(at least 50 Gb) in order for Mac OS to operate smoothly.

If you use memory-intensive software:

You might want to :View memory usage in Activity Monitor on Mac – Apple Support

Try turning off any Ad-blockers / Safari extensions / Virus checkers (are unnecessay)

that may cause interference. Third-party (non-Apple) apps / browsers etc.sometimes cause

unusual interference, and some may become incompatible / out-of-date.
