Podcast episodes on MacBook pro automatically downloading

I changed the settings for the podcast app so that no episodes are downloaded to my Macbook Pro but thats not working. In fact all the episodes for all the podcasts which Im following are being downloaded taking huge amount of space on my hard drive.

I tried changing the download settings from the app settings and set "Automatically download" to off. I also manually deleted all the episodes yet all the episodes were downloaded again automatically.

Any suggestions?
