How do you get voicemail to translate to text?

VoiceMail is a Carrier Specific feature. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider), the agency that issued the SIM / eSIM to you. Voicemail, Visual Voicemail, and Voicemail transcription are available from select carriers in select countries or regions.

Do you mean "translate" as change it into another language? I've never heard of that being an option from Verizon or anyone else. Or do you mean "transcribe"? That's where the voicemail (audio) gets turned into text on your screen. It's also called "Visual Voicemail". If that's what you mean, then yes, it is (primarily) a Verizon feature. You need to call Verizon and have them fix it. I would recommend you request that they remove the Visual Voicemail feature from your account, have you power the phone off and back on then add the feature back.

I base this answer on my twenty years of working for Verizon Wireless.
