I accidentally deleted a supervisors contact info before saving it on my phone by deleting the text absentmindedly. When I followed the directions to retrieve there are only 3 options under edit in messages they are -select messages, edit pins, edit name and photo.
There is no option to view recently deleted. How can I find this?
We will assume that you have installed iOS 16 on your phone as the support document linked above your name details. If the Recently Deleted folder does not appear, this would indicate one of two things:
1) iOS 16 was not installed.....before....the message was deleted
2) If iOS 16 was installed when the message was deleted, more than 30 days have passed since the message was originally deleted, and it was permanently deleted after 30 days.
Bottom line......in order for Recently Deleted to appear, iOS 16 must have been installed on the phone....before....the message was deleted.....AND....no more than 30 days have passed since the message was originally deleted.
Otherwise, the message is gone.
