Ultra keeps pausing during work out

Was happening to me. Guess what it was? The crown and the side button by the crown when pressed together will pause your workout.... it accidentally happens all the time during workouts on ultra due to its design.

On the workout menu, there is a button to unable that: "Press to Pause". Just switch that off and you are good to go!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, does this issue occur when performing a running and cycling workout? If so, then this may be expected behavior if you have the Auto-Pause setting selected in Settings > Workout > Auto-Pause on your Apple Watch.

Pause running and cycling workouts automatically

1. Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch.

2. Tap Workout, then turn on Auto-Pause.

Your Apple Watch automatically pauses and resumes your outdoor running and cycling workouts—for example, if you stop to cross the street or get a drink of water. You can manually pause your workouts by pressing the side button and Digital Crown at the same time.
