IPhone 13 & Honda

I have an iPhone 13 promax and a 2020 Honda pilot. My pilot is up-to-date as far as the system. My iPhone is up-to-date, when I try to connect with Bluetooth and then tap messages tells me that my device may not be compatible how in the world is an iPhone 13 not compatible? It will connect with Bluetooth. I just cannot use messages. Is there any solutions? What am I doing wrong? Maybe it was working when I was using Apple CarPlay but with Bluetooth I should be able to just connect and type my messages and use it. That’s crazy help before I’m even more disappointed with this car.

Hey there Looneygal,

Available options when using Bluetooth will be dependent on your car's stereo. There would not be a setting to change your iPhone to allow your Honda Pilot to access Messages.

It may be necessary for you to consult your owner's manual, dealership, or Honda support to clarify your available options. We've also found a resource linked below that may be of assistance.
