My return button is now a send button in many apps. This was never a problem when I first got the phone. It just started a few days. It doesn't matter what keyword I use.

iPhone, SwiftKey, Gboard. Why is this a thing?

This is a very annoying and inconvenient problem. It's already bad enough that I have to deal with the fact there is no back button at the bottom of the screen in most apps and now this.

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words.

Please understand this is a public forum: While attaching a Screenshot, do not provide any personal credentials, such as IP address, Card detail, email id, apple id, IMEI number, Serial Number, Phone number, Order ID, if you are sharing a map ensure your location is not identifiable, etc.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

In most apps the return button turned into a send button. Like I said above this wasn’t an issue when I first got the phone. There is some apps that still have the return or enter key. When people are typing a message or a text they want to be able to start a new paragraph and not send the message and the only way to do this is if there is a return or enter key on the keyboard not send key. I’ve looked through the settings, and so far I have failed to find a solution that would remove the send key and return the return key.

When I set up a keyboard on my device, I want the keyboard, the function, the same way across all apps and platforms. I don’t want the settings on my keyboard to change every time I open a different app and want to type something.

Hopefully the pictures below will help you better understand, and again it doesn’t matter what keyboard I use, including the iPhone, default keyboard!
