automation overload

This is a comment and request. Is anyone else suffering from automation overload?

The designers keep adding 'features' to the operating system and apps that are supposedly 'time saving workflow improvements'. I'd share some, but the list would be excruciatingly long. With every 'update' there is the task of turning 'automation' off. It's exhausting.

Programmers, please stop thinking you know how I want to interface. Sure add features, but leave them OFF by default. And try to consolidate the myriad of switches now present; it feels like a game of wack-a-mole if you can even find the mole.
