iPhone security question
If I erase all data and content and restore a backup from a time I feel there was no virus on my iPhone, will that remove the virus?

iPhones do not have any viruses, so it is not possible to remove something that does not exist.
I am assuming that your phone has not been jailbroken.
There are no known virus for iPhone, unless your iPhone has been jailbroken. What makes you think your phone has a virus (it most likely does not)?
Last night my phone started restarting by itself several times, turning off and then on. So I decided to restore a previous backup from last week and after restoration it asked me "swipe to upgrade", I'm not sure what that meant. Then this morning, I received a notification that some of my saved passwords had been part of a data leak.

Apple checks your passwords against lists of known data leaks of other content providers. That does not mean passwords were leaked from your phone; only that one or more passwords in your keychain had been compromised in a leak from a site or app that you have stored passwords for.
That depends on why you feel you have a virus. If you suspect something happened after your last good backup, can you say what you think it might be?
