previously had no problem syncing deleted messages between ipad 15.7.1 and iphone 16.1.1 until 2 days ago. Syncing deleted messages only works in one direction between iphone and ipad, but not in reverse between ipad and iphone. Does anyone else have this problem?

Wouldn't say higher, but the Genius Bar is mostly involved with hardware. Contact Apple Support to check the software. They can work with you and even escalate issues if it gets that far, to see if this is expected with the software, or something that needs to be corrected.

That was not helpful, I confirmed that all settings were configured correctly. My Genius Bar appointment confirmed that as well. And decided that it must be a compatability issue between the iPad 15.7.1 and iPhone 16.1.2. So I have to live with this new problem.

I initially contacted apple support via phone call and after they couldn’t solve the problem, they set me up with the Genius Bar. How can I escalate it from the previous discussion with Apple Support up to the engineering level?
