AirPods Pro picking up background noise on call

Putting this back on the radar - I have had all the variations of AirPods now - this is the single biggest issue

With nearly 3000 different people experiencing the same thing.

The microphone receiver picks up and amplifies background noise, like passing cars, bathroom taps, opening a zip lock bag etc. The voice is dulled and the sound is amplified making the person on the other end of the line not hear your voice but make it sound like you're in a war zone.
