I’ve been looking and someone in my family has a 2021 iPad with a flashlight on. I got this iPad 2022 around 2 weeks ago and straight away I checked on control centre and there seems to be no option for a flashlight and I’m wondering is there actually one in the Apple iPad 2022?

The iPad10 does not have a TrueTone flash for its rear camera - and therefore lacks the hardware used by the iPad (and iPhone) Flashlight feature.

While there is no "Flashlight" setting on the iPad, if you go into the Camera app and set the type to video, and turn on the Flash, the video light will turn on. This is what the "flashlight" feature does on the iPhone. There are also "Flashlight" apps on the app store, but some of those come with extreme data mining issues.
