Apple has stopped making Intel core versions of their computers already. The last available Macs with Intel CPUs in Apple Stores are the 2018 Mac mini and the 2019 Mac Pro.

Software and OS updates will continue as normal on Intel models for the foreseeable future. Apple won't stop offering updates to compatible Intel models unless the hardware stops being able to support the new OS versions.

You will get the same amount of support you would have received had Apple continued making Intel Macs. This is not changing. Nothing unfair about it. Technology moves on, and changes. Support will continue as normal.

I typically upgrade my Macs every four years to keep up with the latest technology that Apple offers.

Considering the age of your products, you would notice a considerable improvement in performance, speed, efficiency and power consumption.

The M-series runs much more power efficient than the old Intel chips where you won’t experience overheating or noisy fans.
