Is there a way to use Purchase Sharing for "selected" purchases?

I tuned on "Purchase Sharing" for my family, so that my son and I could share a fairly high-priced app from the Mac Store.

I was unaware that subscriptions he was paying for already would not work anymore, as I think they are now being charged to my method of payment under my Apple account instead of his.

Is there way to "selectively" share app purchases instead of sharing everything all the time?

Mac Pro, macOS 12.6

Hi YetAnotherAppleFan,

You started from a great resource: How to download apps and content that your family members purchased

Regarding the Family Sharing feature, "If purchase sharing is turned on, the family organizer pays for family members' purchases and must have a valid payment method on file." You can find out this information and more here: Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

If you need to remove a family member, be sure to review the section "Removing family members" and "If Family Sharing is turned off" here: Manage Family Sharing settings - Apple Support

Should you need additional assistance regarding the feature, reach out to Apple Support directly.
